Ethiopia- Kerfe School Complete!!!!

We are thrilled to announce construction on our new school in Kerfe is complete!!!

The village of Kerfe is located two hours off any main roads and is the first school to ever be built in the region. After it's grand opening this week, we have already began teaching 120 students in grades 1-4. This is the first time any of those children have ever been able to go to school or receive any kind of an education. We anticipate enrollment to be over 200 students by the end of the school year.

This Kerfe School was an exciting project for us to build because it is the first block school we have ever constructed. After building schools in rural Ethiopia for over 12 years, we recently learned that building them with blocks rather than concrete will be more cost effective and sustainable throughout the years. So, after successfully completing this school, we will be using it as the prototype for all future ENA schools.

We look forward to everyone's continued donations and support to help keep these students learning and attending school. An education really is the only key to their future. With your support, we will be able to ensure each student in this region receives an education, has one new pair of clothing to wear to class, has shoes to walk to school in every day and has the proper school supplies necessary for success!

Thank you to everyone who helped fund and construct ENA's latest school!
